OGRE Systems, Inc. Appoints New CEO

DALLAS, Jan. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- OGRE Systems Inc., a division of APEX Solutions, and leading provider of oil and gas economic software, announced that it has appointed Kirk Hanes president and CEO.  OGRE Systems, known for its established CONTINUUM and OGRE brand, is a leading force in the development and delivery of customizable reserves estimation, evaluation and management solutions.

With the recent investment Mr. Hanes plans on additional global offices and U.S. expansion including hiring additional sales and service professionals for the Dallas and Houston areas.

Mr. Hanes joins OGRE Systems after serving as CEO of Federation Software, a worldwide provider of product lifecycle management tools (PLM) serving customers such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin Corporation and Airbus.  Earlier in his career Mr. Hanes was senior vice president of sales at Munro Garrett Computing, and was instrumental in the introduction and roll out of today's ARIES oil and gas software.  Since that time he has been involved at the executive leadership level of IHS, Zenodata and SOFTEngineeering.

Mr. Hanes holds a BA in Petroleum Engineering from Kansas University and an Executive MBA from Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
