OM Group Announces Appointment Of Carl Christenson To Board Of Directors
CLEVELAND, Dec. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- OM Group, Inc. (NYSE: OMG) today announced that its Board of Directors has named Carl R. Christenson as a director of the company, effective January 1, 2014. Mr. Christenson, who will serve with the class of directors that stand for re-election in 2015, fills a vacant seat on the Board, which as of January 1 will be comprised of eight directors including seven who are independent.

Mr. Christenson is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Altra Industrial Motion Corp, a leading global supplier of electromechanical power transmission and motion control products. Prior to his current position, Mr. Christenson served as the Company's President and Chief Operating Officer from 2005 to 2008. From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Christenson was the President of Kaydon Bearings, a manufacturer of custom-engineered bearings. Mr. Christenson holds an MS and BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic.
