Omni Fort Worth Offers Guest Package for Art Enthusiasts

FORT WORTH, Texas, May 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Omni Fort Worth Hotel is launching a "Kimbell Picasso and Braque Exhibit" package to coincide with the international debut of the Kimbell Art Museum's exhibition Picasso and Braque: The Cubist Experiment, 1910–1912.  The package includes deluxe overnight accommodations, two tickets to the Picasso and Braque exhibition and complimentary breakfast for two daily in the luxury hotel's restaurant, Cast Iron.

Picasso and Braque: The Cubist Experiment, 1910–1912, on view from May 29 through August 21, is the first exhibition to unite some of the paintings and nearly all the prints created by the two artists during this time period. It features 15 paintings and 20 works on paper. The exhibition reveals the intriguing game that played out between Picasso and Braque and ultimately led to the invention of the art form known as Cubism.  Additionally, visitors will be able to borrow one of the Museum's iPads and delve more deeply into Cubism using iCubist, a specially created iPad application.

Since its opening in January 2009, the Omni Fort Worth Hotel and the internationally acclaimed Kimbell Art Museum have been in partnership.  The hotel serves as home to the only Kimbell Art Museum Shop outside the Museum itself and features art books, jewelry, decorative items and gifts as well as the comprehensive Kimbell Handbook, which highlights more than 260 works of art in the permanent collection, and the Museum's exhibition catalogs.
