Omnigo Launches Asset Forfeiture Management to Help Law Enforcement Meet Rising Accountability Expectations
New solution helps agencies maintain a consistent, transparent, and defensible forfeiture process from initial seizure through final disposition
ST. LOUIS, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Omnigo Software, a leading provider of public safety and security software, today announced the launch of Omnigo Asset Forfeiture Management, a new web-based application designed to help law enforcement agencies strengthen accountability across every stage of the asset forfeiture process.
As civil asset forfeiture receives greater legislative, judicial, and public scrutiny, law enforcement agencies face a higher burden to demonstrate that every seized asset has been handled properly throughout the process—from initial seizure through final disposition.
Meeting that expectation is leading agencies to treat asset forfeiture as a coordinated, agency-wide process rather than a series of separate property, legal, and financial tasks.
"Greater scrutiny is changing what effective forfeiture management looks like," said Kevin Lafeber, CEO of Omnigo. "Accountability now depends on an agency's ability to demonstrate what happened, when it happened, and who was responsible at every stage of the process."
Omnigo Asset Forfeiture Management provides a structured, end-to-end workflow for managing forfeiture activity. Beginning with the initial seizure, the solution helps staff maintain asset, evidence, and case information; monitor deadlines and required actions; create standardized legal documents; record financial activity; and document final disposition within one complete record.
By connecting information that might otherwise be maintained across separate systems and files, agencies can reduce repetitive data entry, improve coordination across departments, and respond more efficiently to reporting requirements, public records requests, and audits.
"Demonstrating accountability should not come at the cost of added administrative burden," added Lafeber. "Our goal is to make the work more manageable for the people responsible for it while helping agencies provide the transparency expected of them."
