LOS ANGELES, April 16, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to a growing need for the public to receive fresh, healthy, and affordable food in a safe and reliable manner, and for hospitality professionals to be re-employed amidst the COVID-19 crisis, Aloha Hospitality Professionals (AHP) has pivoted its expertise in logistics and staffing to stand up on-demand logistics and delivery solutions for ailing and overwhelmed food businesses of all sizes across the United States.
"So many restaurants, catering companies and other food-related businesses around the nation are shutting their doors during the global coronavirus pandemic. Others, like Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) networks are unsure how to meet growing demand. Additionally, strict sanitation standards are not being maintained by gig delivery drivers, resulting in inconsistent and unsafe delivery situations," said Kat Lin-Hurtubise, founder and CEO of Aloha Hospitality Professionals.
"When we saw this problematic picture come into focus, we went to work to build a solution. We put forth our food service-trained hospitality professionals as delivery drivers who understand food safety protocols. We implemented the requirement to wear company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, and sanitizer. This has resulted in a significant uptick in demand for our staff across the U.S. to provide logistical support and delivery service. Our mission is simple: protect food businesses, protect customers."
AHP began its collaboration efforts with Oahu Fresh, a Hawaii-based food aggregator who saw a significant increase in product demand virtually overnight. Within days, Oahu Fresh and AHP mobilized a turn-key solution designed to staff route deliveries, train hospitality staff to adhere to strict sanitation practices and deliver products direct-to-consumer.
Now, through AHP's partnership with Nowsta, a hospitality-based scheduling software platform, the company is positioned to share this collaborative, on-demand model with the food industry nation-wide, offering turn-key fulfillment, logistic and sanitized laboratory-like delivery support service. "Delivery service is the linchpin of survival for many food establishments right now, but without safe and clean delivery methods, this same act could be the fatal blow.," Lin-Hurtubise emphasized. "Providing trained staff to food companies results in a triple benefit: businesses get products to market, hospitality professionals get work, and customers receive safe, nourishing food."
"Our platform is designed to be an all-inclusive logistics management software for the hospitality and related industries," said Nick Lillios, CEO of Nowsta. "Right now, our goal is to empower companies like Aloha Hospitality Professionals to engage successfully with partners nationwide to provide their incredible service. We know that the hospitality industry needs to come up with creative solutions to bridge the gap of the crisis, and we could not be happier to work with Aloha to be part of the solution."
Aloha Hospitality Professionals and Nowsta operate in major markets including Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, Chicago, Nashville, New York City, and more.
