ON THE ICE: Take Me Fishing(TM) Brings Ice Fishing to the Everyday Angler

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation's (RBFF) Take Me Fishing™ campaign is expanding its offerings with the addition of ice fishing to its roster.  The launch comes in conjunction with their support of the USA Ice Team and the 10^th Annual World Ice Fishing Championship (WIFC) in hopes of inspiring anglers to try this winter sport.

Take Me Fishing is proud to be a part of the 2013 World Ice Fishing Championship as this unique competition provides an opportunity to spread the word about a fun and challenging winter sport and act as a guide for all levels of anglers who are interested in getting out on the ice.

TakeMeFishing.org provides ice fishing know-how from videos on the best rods and reels, to blog posts about glow-in-the-dark lures. Hear expert tips from the USA Ice Team, learn to identify where on the lake to carve the best hole (look for weed beds), how to use a tip-up and of course, when the ice thickness is safe enough for a group of friends.

The WIFC brings global attention to a growing sport.  This year's competition takes place February 16 and 17 on the Big Eau Pleine Reservoir near Wausau, Wisconsin. Team USA will compete against 10 of the world's best in the sport.
