Personalized in every detail to reflect history, people, values and accomplishments, the artwork has resonated especially with family companies. This year alone Romorini's art highlighted Marriott International's 85th anniversary, Bell Flavors and Fragrances' 100th anniversary, and now Hammer's centennial.
"The unveiling of our One Of A Kind artwork by Lawrence Romorini was the highlight of our 100-year anniversary celebration," says President/C.E.O. James E. Hammer. "All 415 Hammer Associates were in awe as they viewed this unique reflection on the history of Hammer Packaging. The artwork, now hung in our corporate lobby, will draw attention and admiration for the next 100 years."
Romorini's 3-dimensional collages are distinctive in their creative designs, detail, symbolic miniatures, actual 3D memorabilia and engraved typography to tell a story. Hammer Packaging's artwork suggests their diamond-shape logo. It is surrounded by the process blue, yellow and magenta 4-colors bars, along with a computer gauge used to calibrate printing inks. The centerpiece is a still life of 3D products with packaging labels. The corners are photoengraved with the company's Mission, Shared Values, 100th anniversary logo and dedication.
"Hammer Packaging's story is truly one-of-a-kind," says Romorini. "We were fortunate to tour Hammer Packaging's impressive operation, see the state-of-the-art presses and meet Jim Hammer, whose vision and leadership have created such a dynamic company. My art portrays an extraordinary, century-old Rochester company that continues to evolve and succeed, with marquee clients nationwide."
"The stars are aligned for a company with family roots to celebrate their history in an enduring, visual way," Romorini observes. "The art becomes both a corporate and family legacy. The colorful visuals for Hammer Packaging and the drive for excellence that pervades their operations made it an especially exciting challenge to convey in 100th anniversary art."
Marriott International, Andersen Windows, Opus, Boar's Head, American Roller Bearing, Allen, Allen, Allen and Allen, Alberto Culver, Goya Foods, and KingWorld Productions are among other companies with family leadership who have come to One Of A Kind to preserve their history in 3D lobby art.
