One-of-a-Kind playhouses displayed at Wisconsin Place to raise funds for low-income families and veterans' children
Rebuilding Together Montgomery County launches Rebuilding Hope: The RTMC Playhouse Project
CHEVY CHASE, Md., April 30, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The last of eight playhouses, a fire engine designed by Anthony Wilder Design Build, will be escorted onto the plaza of Wisconsin Place by a real fire engine courtesy of the Cabin John Fire Department this Tuesday, signifying the launch of Rebuilding Hope: The RTMC Playhouse Project. This project brings together the building industry to create and donate unique custom-built playhouses to Rebuilding Together Montgomery County, who will auction the playhouses off on May 31, 2012 as a fundraiser for the home repair needs of vulnerable families. One of the playhouses has been designated a community project, and the public is urged to donate to help "buy" the playhouse for Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. WHAT: The final playhouse will be set in place with a fire engine escort to signify the launch of this fundraiser and to raise awareness of this important event in our community.

WHO: Builders, remodelers, designers, and architects from around Montgomery County have donated all the materials and labor to create unique playhouses; TW Perry donated all transportation services; Rebuilding Together Montgomery County is the beneficiary of the event, along with Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, who will receive one of the eight donated playhouses.
