TROUTDALE, Ore., Sept. 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Trucking company Veteran & entrepreneur Aurel Davidyan and former General Electric Operations/Marketing manager, Richard Greer, announced on September 5, 2018 plans to scale the one of a kind private membership based commercial truck parking lots into the state of Washington. Additionally, the Truck Depot LLC, a five-year-old debt free profitable company, is preparing for a private equity investment offering.
With national and state level truck freight volumes forecasted to grow by at least 65% between 2015 and 2045 and an annual growth rate of 2% per year, there is ever increasing pressure placed on states and industry for additional truck parking. Industry changes such as just-in-time logistics, operational costs and driver detention all have had significant effects on truck parking demands.
With the "hours-of-service" regulations most owner operators and commercial freight carriers alike find it impossible to safely park their trucks while following the federal laws for safe driving. Parking in illegal locations such as private property, highway off ramps and on ramps, and/or sides of the road cause costly damage, deadly collisions, parking citations, and even increased crime. Currently the Truck Depot LLC is working hand in hand with the WSDOT to scale the amount of parking lots that will best suit the public safety and the well-being of the freight industry in Washington State and beyond.
