LOS ANGELES, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Onebox® announced today the addition of a new Call Recording feature to its suite of voice services. Call Recording allows both inbound and outbound phone conversations to be recorded by simply pressing *2 during a call. The announcement follows closely behind Onebox's recent launch of mobile apps for iPhone® and BlackBerry® mobile devices and further underscores the company's commitment to providing businesses with a complete, integrated mobile communications solution. Onebox is a brand of j2 Global Communications, Inc. (NasdaqGS: JCOM) that brings voice, fax, email and conference calling together into a suite of business-critical communications services. The company is online at http://www.onebox.com.
Call Recording requires no additional hardware and can be quickly added to any Onebox extension for a low monthly fee. After recording a call, a link to the recorded audio file is sent via email, and a copy of the recorded call is stored in the subscriber's Onebox Message Center for up to 30 days.
In eliminating the need for extra hardware, cables and other devices, Call Recording provides a wide range of business professionals, including those in the legal, corporate, customer service, sales and news sectors, the ability to simplify an inherent, critical part of their daily business – recording conversations for reference or archival purposes.
"Call Recording brings hassle-free capture and archiving of critical phone calls to small businesses for less than 20 cents per day," said Ken Truesdale, vice president, voice services for j2 Global Communications, Inc. "The ability to add Call Recording instantly to a Onebox account, without additional hardware, reinforces the benefits of Onebox's cloud-based service model for small businesses. Now, phone calls can be recorded, stored and archived for future reference, just like email and text files."
The Onebox Call Recording feature is designed to comply with current state laws that require notification to the other party that a call is being recorded. Upon activating the call record feature, a Onebox automated message states that the call is being recorded.
