OneRoof Energy Launches Solar Military Appreciation Program; Forms Alliance with Empower America

SAN DIEGO, May 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- OneRoof Energy, Inc., a complete solar services provider and a wholly-owned subsidiary of OneRoof Energy Group, Inc. (TSXV: ON), today announced the launch of its Military Appreciation Program, a comprehensive initiative aimed at honoring U.S. veterans through the power of solar energy. As a core part of the program, OneRoof Energy also announced that Empower America will become a preferred installer. Empower America is a non-profit coalition dedicated to recruiting, training and employing local service veterans for careers in the solar industry.

As part of the partnership and in honor of Memorial Day, OneRoof Energy and Empower America will work together to donate and install in-kind solar services and equipment to several veteran rehabilitation facilities, including the Midnight Mission in Los Angeles, one of the largest and most respected homeless shelters in the country. OneRoof Energy will also offer enlisted and veteran U.S. military an on-going $1000 cash discount on any solar lease or purchase. 

According to a recent report issued by The Solar Foundation, more than 13,000 U.S. veterans are employed in the solar industry, accounting for nearly 10 percent of all solar workers in the nation.
