OneVoice Movement Introduces an Innovative Use of Facebook Offers, Calling the World to Claim Peace and Help End the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
TEL AVIV, Israel and RAMALLAH, Palestine, February 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
OneVoice, a nonprofit international grassroots movement that amplifies the voice of mainstream Israelis and Palestinians, empowering them to propel their elected representatives toward the two-state solution, launched the first non-product Facebook offer as an innovative awareness campaign calling the world to Claim Peace and help end the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.
On 2012 Facebook introduced its new offers feature, enabling brands to grant Facebook users and fans special offers and discounts on products.
In a unique use of this feature, The OneVoice movement introduces the first Facebook offer, not for a product, but for Peace, allowing users from all over the world to 'Claim Peace' and help raise awareness toward ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The 'Peace Offer' can be claimed on the OneVoice Facebook fan page and on ClaimPeace.org. We aim to reach 1,000,000 peace claims and hopefully resolve the conflict, once and for all, for a better and safer Middle East.
Tal Harris, Executive Director of OneVoice Israel:
"We are proud of the wide support that OneVoice efforts receive in Israel and around the world. Coupled with the encouraging elections results, this support presents a clear and decisive call to the Prime Minister. Upon forming the next coalition, PM Netanyahu and his likely coalition partners must prioritize the Two State solution and the end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
"All the parties in the 19th Knesset ought to know that the Israeli public does not intend to forgo its right to live in peace and security. We intend to push even harder and amplify the voice of the moderates in both peoples throughout the next four years."
