For every 10 sofas sold throughout the month of December, Burrow will donate one sofa to someone in need. Partnering with The Bridge, Kulture City and New Horizons of Southwest Florida, Burrow is simply helping to help make a house feel more like a home this holiday.
"For a lot of companies, the holiday season means mega sales and hitting end of year revenue targets, but we wanted to focus on something different – giving back to causes we care about," said Burrow co-founder, Stephen Kuhl. "2017 has been a tough year for a lot of people – many families are still rebuilding after Hurricanes Harvey and Irma and the holidays can be a particularly tough time for those who lost their home. This is one of the main motivations behind Give Back With Burrow. We want to help people create spaces where they can gather with family and friends."
Burrow chose to partner with these specific organizations because of the effort they are making to support people after many hardships that have occurred throughout the U.S. this year. The Bridge is an organization based in Burrow's hometown of NYC that supplies housing, rehabilitation and training to NYC's most vulnerable. Kulture City is a non-profit based in Alabama that supports children with Autism, with a focus of on providing help for families affected by Hurricane Harvey. Finally, New Horizons of Southwest Florida works to empower at-risk youth to reach their full potential through tutoring, mentoring and faith building with a focus on providing help for families affected by Hurricane Irma.
