DELRAY BEACH, Fla., Oct. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- This will be a Veteran's Day to remember for hundreds of military brides, who will be given free wedding dresses designed by Alfred Angelo, America's favorite bridal store.
Alfred Angelo's Vice President of Retail Operations, Leo Benoit, himself a Vietnam veteran, came up with the idea of giving back to active-service military women, after talking to a military bride at one of his stores.
"As I was talking to one of our brides who happened to be in the military, and who clearly was sacrificing so much as part of her service to our country, I thought that Alfred Angelo could honor and give-back to the women- who are such a crucial part of our active duty military," said Benoit. "I brought up the idea to the company and everyone was immediately on board. Hopefully this gesture by Alfred Angelo will express our gratitude to women who serve."
While Operation Gown Giveaway may sound too good to be true, it's a 100 percent, no-strings-attached giveaway of a beautifully selected collection of store sample gowns. Active duty women need only to make an appointment for their local store online at: www.alfredangelo.com/operationgowngiveaway. Upon arrival, they should be prepared to present an ID showing that they are currently serving in the US military. The brides can choose any special sale dress in the store and walk out with the bridal gown of their dreams that very same day.
The giveaway will take place at all 62 Alfred Angelo stores across the United States.
