Opgal Optronic Industries, a leading global provider of innovative thermal imaging and near infrared illumination solutions for security, safety, and aviation applications, announced today that Amit Mattatia is joining the company as its President and CEO. He replaced Dror Sharon who decided to leave the company after 9 years, to pursue other interests.
Mr. Mattatia was the CEO of Trivnet where he led the company to become a global enabler of mobile financial services resulting in its acquisition by Gemalto. Prior to that he served as Vice President and General Manager at Comverse, where he headed the IP Messaging Line of Business, consisting of 3 Business Units. Mr. Mattatia started his managerial career with Compaq Computer in Europe, and later on he co-founded its Israeli subsidiary.
