OPI Announces Miss Universe Collection

LOS ANGELES, May 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- OPI Products Inc. announced a collaboration with the Miss Universe Organization today.  The company will launch the Miss Universe Collection, with colors to be revealed June 14, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at a special event surrounding the 2011 MISS USA® Pageant.

Miss USA contestants, along with the reigning Miss USA Rima Fakih and Miss Universe Ximena Navarrete, will help OPI unveil the Miss Universe Collection at a private reception at Color, A Salon by Michael Boychuck at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.  "This collection embodies the pageants' femininity, grace and glamour, with a real sense of fun shown through these shades," says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. "There is no better place to unveil the Miss Universe Collection than in The City of Lights."

The Miss Universe Collection by OPI, featuring four new lacquers, will be available in September.  Adds Paula Shugart, President of the Miss Universe Organization: "We couldn't have a better partner than OPI to create a collection that captures the spirit and glamour of our pageants. In addition to launching the collection, Weiss-Fischmann will be a Miss USA Pageant judge on the live telecast scheduled for Sunday, June 19 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC from the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The winner of Miss USA will go on to compete in the Miss Universe competition on September 12, 2011, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
