Orange County Based SEMICOA Taps Ramesh Ramchandani to Spearhead Firm's Top Line Growth Strategy

COSTA MESA, Calif., Sept. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- SEMICOA CORPORATION, a leading supplier of high reliability, discrete semiconductors for military, aerospace, and commercial and industrial applications today named Ramesh Ramchandani President.  Ramchandani recently led the successful development of the company's new MOSFET product lines set to launch on schedule next month.  Prior to SEMICOA, he held leadership positions at several top technology companies, including On Semiconductor where he helped lead the turnaround of that company's analog and power MOSFET business later spun off to Motorola.

As President, Ramchandani will lead growth plans to expand SEMICOA's bi-polar transistors, diodes and new power MOSFET businesses for the commercial and high reliability military and aerospace markets where the company is already a leading player.  He will also grow SEMICOA's Rad Hard Assurance programs; rapidly expand national distribution, sales, service and support capabilities and seed new product development and strategic business efforts that meet the needs of customer technology roadmaps now and in the future.

Throughout his career, Ramchandani has managed and partnered with large (FORTUNE 500) global organizations achieving organizational success in the areas of technology and product development, operations, marketing, and sales.   Before joining SEMICOA, he was Vice President and General Manager of ON Semiconductor, Executive Vice President of ZiLOG, and President & COO of InPlay Technologies. He also serves on the Board of VSOLAY and DemosOnDemand, and he is Vice Chairman of NXVT Group (a private equity company).

Mr. Ramchandani holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University and an MBA from Cornell University. He served on the Executive Board of TiE, an entrepreneurial group dealing in venture capital markets. He is also a Board Member of the Dean's Advisory Council for the School of Engineering at Arizona State University.
