Orbitz Worldwide Names Roger Liew Chief Technology Officer

CHICAGO, Nov. 15, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Orbitz Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: OWW) today announced that it has named Roger Liew Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. Previously, Roger was vice president of technology at Orbitz Worldwide and group manager of the Intelligent Marketplace group.

Roger Liew joined Orbitz, LLC in 2000 as vice president of technology.  As the company's fifth employee, Roger led the team that built the original technological infrastructure for the official launch of Orbitz.com in June 2001.  Roger left Orbitz in 2004 to join the leadership team of G2 Switchworks, a start-up in the travel technology space which was acquired by Travelport in 2008. He returned to Orbitz Worldwide in early 2009, soon after Barney Harford was named President and CEO, to serve as the company's vice president of technology and group manager of the Intelligent Marketplace group.  Prior to Orbitz, Roger worked in the Chicagoland region as a lead software engineer for Neoglyphics Media Corporation and as a software engineer for Motorola's Cellular Subscriber Group.
