PORTLAND, Ore., Feb. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Paulson Coletti Trial Attorneys PC, a Portland, Oregon-based personal injury law firm, believes strongly in giving back to their local community. One way to support the Portland community is supporting Portland's public schools. This year, the Oregon personal injury attorneys are sponsoring two Portland elementary public school foundation auctions.

The Alameda School Auction will be held on Saturday March 8th. Doors open at 5pm at the Oregon Convention Center, Northeast Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard. School foundations such as Alameda Schools were created to help fill in financial gaps and give financial resources to the school that the school district alone cannot provide. Through the foundation, educational needs such as new teaching positions are funded. The other school being sponsored by Paulson Coletti Trial Attorneys PC is Forest Park Auction is scheduled for April 18 at the Multnomah Athletic Club at 1849 SW Salmon Avenue, Portland, OR 97205. The theme for this event is "A Night in Monte Carlo."

We hope Portland Public Schools will reach an agreement with teachers so the strike, set to begin February 20th, can be avoided."

Oregon's largest school district could be on the verge of its first-ever strike. Teachers sent in a notice to the state communicating a walkout date of February 20th. Both sides have said they would hope to reach a negotiated agreement before then.
