SANTA MONICA, Calif. and HONOLULU, April 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ROC CEO Ron McElroy met with key governmental leaders and representatives earlier this month to hash out details about the newest premier ROC location which included detailing the methods currently being used to create a healthy, sustainable, and flourishing business opportunity for the surrounding community of Honolulu.

Ron McElroy has meet with Hawaii's Strategic Development Corp., Department of Business Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT), and the Deputy Managing Director for Honolulu to discuss the economic and long term implications of operating a business in Honolulu. McElroy, having family roots throughout Hawaii, has an invested interest beyond a dollar amount. Both parties look forward to further discussions on how they will work together to improve the economic future of the city. 

A vital concern of importance to both Ron McElroy and the DBEDT is in creating opportunities, specifically within struggling communities for the less privileged. The Chief Officer, Georja Skinner, noted she already has been interested in establishing a Disadvantaged Reintroduction Program in specific local areas. Both for McElroy and ROC, a longstanding community involvement includes just this specific type of program involvement. One such type of program located in the greater Los Angeles area called Chrysalis, assists recovered criminal, drug addicted or homeless background individuals with a reintroduction opportunity under a guided and undeniably successful program, which ROC is proud to actively support.  ROC, specifically McElroy, will be looking forward to facilitating and assisting the State with this new program.
