OTCM ADR Index Up 11.12% in Q3 2013, 12.75% Year-to-Date

NEW YORK, Oct. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- OTC Markets Group Inc. (OTCQX: OTCM) today announced that the OTCM ADR Index (Bloomberg/Reuters: OTCDR; Thomson: DFCDR), the only index exclusively tracking American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) trading on the OTCQX®, OTCQB® and OTC Pink® marketplaces, rose 11.12% in the third quarter 2013, to close at 1,502 on September 30, 2013, compared to the MSCI EAFE which rose 9.86% during the same time period.  The OTCM ADR Index, which is powered by BNY Mellon DR Indices and is comprised of more than 600 global companies from 38 countries across 10 industries, is up 12.75% year-to-date.

Q3 2013 Highlights:

• Securities within the OTCM ADR Index traded $25.6 billion in Q3 2013, on par with the prior quarter. Top performing component industries were oil and gas (+16.73%), technology (+15.65%) and consumer services (+13.91%). 
• The top 10 most actively traded ADRs in the OTCM ADR Index by volume during the quarter were: Allianz SE (OTCQX: AZSEY), Danone (OTCQX: DANOY), Deutsche Telekom AG (OTCQX: DTEGY), Linc Energy, Ltd. (OTCQX: LNCGY), Roche Holding Ltd. (OTCQX: RHHBY) and Volkswagen AG (OTCQX: VLKAY) which trade on OTCQX, the best marketplace for qualified companies, and Gazprom OAO (OTC Pink: OGZPY), Lenovo Group Ltd. (OTC Pink: LNVGY), Nestle S.A. (OTC Pink: NSRGY) and Tesco PLC (OTC Pink: TSCDY) which trade on OTC Pink and make limited information available outside their home market.
• Sixty-seven new companies joined the index is Q3 2013, notably AusTex Oil Limited (OTCQX: ATXDY), Dyesol Ltd. (OTCQX: DYSOY), Invensys plc (OTCQX: IVNYY), Klabin S.A. (OTCQX: KLBAY), QRxPharma Limited (OTCQX: QRXPY), Silex Systems Ltd. (OTCQX: SILXY) and Yamaha Corp. (OTCQX: YAMCY) which all trade on OTCQX, and ArcelorMittal South Africa (OTC Pink: AMSIY), Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (OTC Pink: DHTMY), Genmab A/S (OTC Pink: GMXAY), Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corp. (OTC Pink: MTZPY), Nobel Biocare Holding AG (OTC Pink: NBHGY) and The Sage Group plc (OTC Pink: SGPYY), which trade on OTC Pink.  Twenty-three companies were removed from the Index during the third quarter.
