Otto Radio Integrates with Uber Trip Experience API to Deliver Podcasts and Audio News Globally
Uber riders can now use the Otto Radio app to get personalized news and podcasts timed to their trip
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Otto Radio, your personal radio app that plays news and podcasts you love, announced it's transforming the way people enjoy audio content during their trips with Uber. Starting today, Otto Radio's integration with Uber's Trip Experiences API will turn the time riders spend traveling to their destination into an opportunity to be entertained and informed about the topics the passenger cares about the most.
Unlike traditional radio, Otto Radio automatically curates top podcasts and audio news based on the listener's interests. The integration with Uber means riders can leverage Otto Radio's content curation capability enhanced by Uber Trip Experiences API. Otto Radio uses trip context to fine-tune the duration of its programming to match the rider's trip. And if the time to destination changes because of a traffic jam or new riders join the UberPool, then Otto Radio will add more content timed to fit within their ride.

Here's how it works:
- Otto Radio users should go to Me / Profile & Account / Connections, and then follow the steps to connect with Uber.
- Once you've requested an Uber, a playlist of news stories and podcasts, perfectly timed for your trip's duration, will be waiting for you in Otto Radio.
- You can start listening as soon as you've requested your Uber or wait until your driver has arrived to begin enjoying your personalized broadcast. Whatever option you choose the result is the same-- you'll arrive at your destination up-to-date on the topics you're most interested in listening to during your ride.
- Otto Radio is currently available for iOS and Android.
