LAUREL, Md., Jan. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Outback Steakhouse^® is debuting its newest restaurant location in Laurel, Maryland opening its doors at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21. To show its support of the local community, a portion of the restaurant's opening day sales will benefit Childhood Cancer Research in The Division of Pediatric Oncology at The Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center. The new restaurant will be the first in the area to feature a new "Modern Australia" design both inside and out.

To mark the official grand opening, the Laurel Outback restaurant is inviting local area residents to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Baltimore Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21.

The new restaurant will replace the previous Laurel location on Sweitzer Lane and will feature a "Modern Australia" design with decor that mirrors the indigenous flora and fauna, adventure, geography and leisure of modern day Australia. Guests will also enjoy a spacious, energetic bar area that includes a community table – a great place to meet up with friends and enjoy specialty beer, wine and hand-crafted cocktails. The new bar will also feature customized seating and furnishings and is connected directly to the outdoor dining patio.

In addition to Outback's signature bold steak dinner entrees, customers will be able to enjoy a wide variety of fast and affordable lunch options including lunch combos for just $7.99, such as the Classic Outback Burger or Chicken Artichoke Flatbread, or the new Aussie Fish, Steak or Chicken Tacos. Plus, for a limited time guests can enjoy Outback's Wood-Fire Grilled favorites, including Baby Back Ribs, Wood-Fire Grilled Pork Porterhouse and the new Wood-Fire Grilled Shrimp on the Barbie, each served with a freshly made side and a Signature Side Salad starting at just $14.99.
