Outdoor Channel HD Reaches Milestone of 10 Million Homes

CHICAGO, June 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- NCTA's The Cable Show 2011 – Outdoor Channel, America's Leader in Outdoor TV, today announced the network's high definition (HD) channel, Outdoor Channel HD, now reaches more than 10 million homes across the U.S., a significant milestone since the launch of the HD service only three years ago. This latest achievement demonstrates Outdoor Channel's ongoing appeal and growth, representing a 34 percent year-over-year increase in the network's HD service.

Since January 2011, Outdoor Channel HD has launched on 198 new cable systems, including Time Warner Cable, Comcast, Cox Communications, Verizon FiOS, Knology, Suddenlink Communications and Midcontinent Communications, among others. Notable markets include: Detroit, MI; Minneapolis, MN; Las Vegas, NV; Tulsa, OK; Fort Meyers, FL; and Sioux Falls, SD.
