Outdoor Channel Wraps Up 2011 With New Episodes of Returning Favorites

TEMECULA, Calif., Sept. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Outdoor Channel, America's Leader In Outdoor TV, today announced the launch of its fourth quarter (Q4) programming line-up, produced in 100 percent high definition (HD). Kicking off the week of September 26th, the network will air some of its most popular shows with several returning with new episodes. The network is also introducing two all-new specials, created and produced exclusively for Outdoor Channel.

Throughout 2011, Outdoor Channel has brought together top celebrities from the worlds of entertainment, sports and music with the network's most notable outdoor talents, to provide viewers a behind-the-scenes look at their favorite outdoorsmen and women from all walks of life. Among the highlights coming in this quarter are new episodes of two fan-favorite shows that will feature some of NASCAR's top racers. In an episode of "Gold Fever," host Tom Massie invites racing legends Marcos Ambrose and David Ragan to join him on his quest for gold. This November, "Hot Rods & Reels" returns with a two-part special, capturing NASCAR greats, such as Darrell Waltrip, Clint Bower, Ryan Newman, Dave Blaney, Richard Childress and 2010 Daytona winner Jamie McMurray, at charity fishing tournaments taking place at two of the most storied racetracks in the country: Homestead and Daytona.

Each year, Outdoor Channel fans tune in it to watch host Kelly Gotch and the final 16 competitors in the Total Outdoorsman Challenge as they compete in the ultimate test of outdoor skills and endurance for the honor of being crowned the "Total Outdoorsman" and win the bevy of prizes that come with that honor.

Watch as best-selling author, patriot and warrior Marcus Luttrell, goes head-to-head against world-shooting champion Scott Robertson. Two larger-than-life outdoor personalities compete in a high-definition clash of styles, egos and opposing qualities as they compare and contrast hunting skills and techniques. This character-driven reality program showcases the competitive nature of both men with adrenaline-pumping results.

The Choice with Ralph & Vicki – Debuts Monday, September 26, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. ET

Follow "North America's Favorite Hunting Couple" Ralph and Vicki Cianciarulo as they bring viewers along for a look inside their unique relationship and their awesome hunting adventures. The couple will continue to follow their prey to the ends of the earth, traveling to some of the most remote and treacherous locations, all with the hopes of catching the ultimate prize.

Gold Fever – Debuts Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. ET

As America's longest running recreational prospecting show, host Tom Massie takes viewers on a world tour in search of gold, letting nothing stand in his way. This season, follow Tom from a prospecting adventure in California's capitol, Sacramento, to North Carolina, where he meets up with NASCAR icons Marcos Ambrose and David Ragan, and all the way to Greenland and Alaska.
