In addition, driver's fatigue is reduced when using an automatic transmission instead of a manual transmission since they do not have to shift gears all the time.

Comfortable driving and higher retention rate of drivers when using AMT are other charms of the technology. Buyers of new light trucks have shunned manual gearboxes, hence the "standard" transmission are almost invisible as an option.
