Outstanding Small Businesses and Supporters to Receive Honors at 6th Annual SCORE Awards

WASHINGTON, July 28, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- SCORE, – www.score.org – mentors to America's small businesses, announces the winners of the 2014 SCORE Awards recognizing excellence in American small business owners and non-profits whose success has been impacted by SCORE's services. In 2013, SCORE mentors assisted entrepreneurs in starting 38,630 new businesses, creating 67,319 new jobs in the American economy and serving a total of 330,796 clients.  The 2014 SCORE Awards will honor several outstanding examples of successful, innovative SCORE clients as well as important advocates for small business at a gala taking place on August 14, 2014 in Washington, DC. The gala will also celebrate SCORE's 50^th anniversary and the more than 10 million small businesses SCORE volunteers have served over the past half century.
