Global Interior Design Firm The Gettys Group Helps Transform Hotel
TAMPA BAY, Fla., Feb. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Bay Harbor Hotel has completed the first phase of a multi-million dollar transformation. Oxford Capital Group, LLC, through its management affiliate, Oxford Hotels & Resorts, LLC, acquired the property in 2015 to reinvent the property as a coastal-chic lifestyle hotel & resort, and selected global design firm The Gettys Group to achieve the vision.
Fifteen additional guestrooms were added, with hardwood floors, contemporary furnishings, frameless walk-in showers and backlit LED mirrors.
A sense of tranquility is achieved in the new lobby with luxurious, yet laid-back finishes and furnishings including Italian tile, coastal lounge furniture and nautical accents.
Beach Bar | Restaurant, Bay Harbor Hotel's indoor/outdoor waterside restaurant is unrecognizable as the former "Hogan's Beach". Gone are bright red and yellow replaced with relaxed island-style spaces in calming hues that conjure sensations of Key West, but with the urban sophistication that is the hallmark of Oxford Hotels & Resorts.
Capitalizing on its waterfront views, and a 3200 sq. ft. pier, the hotel's exterior improvements include new lounge seating, surrounding fireplaces, sumptuous cabanas, poolside furniture, hardscapes, cable rail balconies, and a soft-blue building façade.
