OZZ Clean Energy Announces Appointment of New Chief Financial Officer

TORONTO, Sept. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ - OZZ Clean Energy Inc., a leading provider of low and no-carbon energy solutions including solar power development and construction and natural gas and electricity delivery today announced that it has strengthened its management team with appointment of Mr. Boris Baril to the position of Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Baril joins OZZ Clean Energy from Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. ("Algonquin") where he was the Director of Finance and Administration and part of the senior management team for APCo., Algonquin's IPP subsidiary.  While at Algonquin Mr. Baril was responsible for the finance and accounting functions at APCo., including financial planning and reporting.  Mr. Baril also supported Algonquin's transition from an income fund to a corporate structure as well as securing a credit rating, the establishment a $142 million credit facility and the issuance of senior notes for the company.

Prior to Algonquin Mr. Baril was VP, Finance and Group Controller for Universal Energy Group ("Universal"), a TSX-listed energy company which was acquired by Just Energy ("JE") in July 2009.  As VP, Finance at Universal Mr. Baril supported significant operational growth as the business grew from a $40 million private company to a $540 million public company in 3 years.  Mr. Baril was also instrumental in Universal's 2007 Initial Public Offering which raised $143 million as well as a subsequent convertible debenture offering.  He was also heavily involved in a number of acquisitions undertaken by Universal and with the transition after the sale of the company to JE.
