Pac-West Telecomm CEO Robert H. Turner to Receive University of South Carolina Distinguished Alumni Award

OAKLAND, Calif., April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Pac-West Telecomm, Inc., a leading provider of wholesale communications services, announced today that CEO Robert H. Turner will be honored as a Distinguished Alumni at the 2010 Business Leadership and Awards Program for the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business.  The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented to alumni of the Darla Moore School of Business with outstanding achievements in business, academia, government, or not-for-profit organizations, and/or outstanding service to the business school, and is the highest honor given by the Darla Moore School of Business.

As Chief Executive of Pac-West, Mr. Turner has led Pac-West to double-digit growth in a down market, establishing the company's reputation for innovation, customer focus, and service value.  He is also a Pac-West board member and the founder of Turner Telecom Holding Group, LLC, an executive management and board consultancy that cultivates and grows global technology and telecom companies.

(KPN), Chairman and Chief Executive of Davnet, Ltd. (AU), Chief Executive of New World Telephone (Hong Kong), Chief Executive of TeleZone (Canada), and Chief Operating Officer of BellSouth Communications.

Mr. Turner will be recognized for his inspiring career as a business leader alongside five fellow alumni, including a senior bank executive and the former chief national bank examiner of the United States.
