Packers, Edvest, Salvation Army To Hold School Supply Drive During Packers Family Night
Supplies will be collected beginning today at Lambeau Field
GREEN BAY, Wis., July 31, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Green Bay Packers, Edvest and the Salvation Army are teaming up to host a school supply drive during Packers Family Night, presented by Bellin Health, on Aug. 3, to help local children and families in need.

The school supply drive begins today in the Lambeau Field Atrium, and fans can drop off supplies all week leading up to Family Night on Saturday. During Family Night, school supplies will be collected at the Lambeau Field parking lot entrances (Ridge Road and Lombardi Avenue; Oneida Street and Lombardi; Armed Forces Drive and Oneida; and Valley View Road and Ridge). A Salvation Army kettle will be placed at each collection point for cash donations, as well.
While fans can bring any type of school supplies, there is a higher demand for pencils, blue or black pens, three-ring notebooks, plain-colored folders with two pockets and loose leaf paper. All supplies will be donated to the Salvation Army "Tools for Schools" program and the Back to School Store, where families in need can pick them up for this school year.
Family Night will feature an intra-squad scrimmage between the Packers' offense and defense. Evening activities get underway in the stadium at 5:30 p.m., followed by on-field football drills at 6:30 and the scrimmage at approximately 7:30. The event will benefit the Wendy's Wonderful Kids foster care adoption program, a signature program of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
