CHARLOTTTETOWN, PE, Nov. 8, 2013 /CNW/ - Canadian manufacturer Paderno Cookware recently donated $7,500 to the "Trees in Trust" program which works with NatureTrust organizations across Canada to preserve Canadian trees, wildlife and help reduce CO2 in the atmosphere.
The funds were raised over the last seven months through the sale of Paderno's new "NatureTrust" pan which is Made in Canada from solid 18/10 stainless steel and uses a new environment friendly ceramic non-stick coating which is easier on the environment and is completely PFOA and PTFE free. "Using only the finest quality materials, we have taken steps to ensure the pan has been manufactured with the environment soundly in mind" says Tim Casey, President of Paderno. "Unlike most traditional coatings, our system is entirely waterborne … handling, mixing, and cleanup with water, not chemicals or solvents … and even our packaging is printed on recycled paper." added Mr. Casey. The pan is backed by Paderno's exceptional 25 year warranty. From November 13-17, the pan will be available at over 350 Canadian retailers with pricing starting at $39.99 www.paderno.com.
It is estimated that, with this donation, 5 acres of Canadian forests will be preserved and protected forever in Paderno's name. This is the first of a semi-annual donation that Paderno will make to the program.
"We are very excited to partner with a quality Canadian company like Paderno to further our cause of preserving our great Canadian environment." Andrew Lush, President of Trees in Trust.
