Palermo's to donate more than 50,000 pizzas to food banks across the country

MILWAUKEE, Sept. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Palermo's Pizza, a national frozen pizza manufacturer, in partnership with key grocery retailers, is donating more than 50,000 pizzas to food banks during the company's 50,000 Pizza Giveaway for Our 50th Anniversary campaign. This fall, the company will tour the country, marking each donation with an event at local grocery stores across the Midwest and southern regions of the U.S., as well as at Fort Bragg military base.

Palermo's tour underscores the company's social mission of giving back to the communities by joining forces with some of its largest grocery retail partners across the country and leveraging their shared commitment to local stewardship. Attendees can also embrace the spirit of giving by bringing nonperishable food items to donate to local food banks.

• Nov. 8: Jacksonville, Florida
• Nov. 9: Tampa, Florida

Consumers are invited to attend these dedication events and share their experiences using the #50kfor50 hashtag. Tagged posts will be featured on the Palermo's website and on social media. In addition, the company will post video highlights of the tour stops on its website.
