Robert S. Kaplan, Senior Fellow and Marvin Bower Professor of Leadership Development, Emeritus at the Harvard Business School. He joined the HBS faculty in 1984 after spending 16 years at the Tepper Business School, Carnegie-Mellon University, where he served as Dean from 1977 to 1983. With graduate degrees in electrical engineering and operations research, Kaplan co-developed both the Balanced Scorecard and activity-based costing. His research, executive education teaching and consulting focus on linking cost and performance management systems to strategy implementation. He has authored or co-authored 14 books and more than 150 papers including 25 in Harvard Business Review.
David P. Norton, the world's leading authority on strategic performance management. He is a co-founder and director of several professional services firms, including Palladium's Strategy Execution Consulting practice. A frequent lecturer and writer around the world, Dr Norton's work on strategy management has been the subject of many books, articles, executive conferences, training seminars and other programs. The Balanced Scorecard concept, developed with Dr Kaplan, was selected by the editors of Harvard Business Review as one of the most influential management ideas of the past 75 years. Dr Norton earned a B.S. in electrical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, an M.S. in operations research from the Florida Institute of Technology, an MBA from Florida State University, and his doctorate in business administration from Harvard Business School.
Vijay Govindarajan, a leading expert on strategy and innovation. He is a New York Times and Wall Street Journal best-selling author and the Coxe Distinguished Professor at Dartmouth College's Tuck School of Business and the Marvin Bower Fellow at Harvard Business School. He was the first Professor in Residence and Chief Innovation Consultant at General Electric. He worked with GE's CEO Jeff Immelt to write "How GE is Disrupting Itself," the Harvard Business Review article that pioneered the concept of reverse innovation – any innovation that is adopted first in the developing world. John R.
