Panther Capital Group launches Small Cap Fund
New mutual fund utilizes firm's proprietary, bottom-up fundamental analysis and expands ability to serve investors
FORT WORTH, Texas, Jan. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Panther Capital Group, LLC, a Fort Worth-based independent investment advisory firm, today announced the launch of its first mutual fund, the Panther Small Cap Fund (PCGSX). The fund launched on December 31, 2014.
The Panther Small Cap Fund's investment strategy is driven by and expands access to Panther Capital's proprietary bottom-up fundamental research process.
"Our research process endeavors to uncover under-appreciated or mis-understood small cap investment opportunities," John Langston, CFA, Founder and President of Panther Capital Group said. "We are excited to apply the same strategies to this fund, with the ultimate goal of providing strong long-term performance to a broader audience."
The Panther Small Cap Fund will invest the majority of its net assets in US small capitalization companies included in the Russell 2000 Index. The objective of the Panther Small Cap Fund is to seek long-term capital appreciation and the minimum investment is $1,000.
"We are true believers in the investment merits of US small cap stocks," Langston said. "Our new fund builds on our commitment to this sector and our belief in the long-term performance of our nation's economic engine and the small companies that benefit from it."

Risks
There can be no guarantee that any strategy (risk management or otherwise) will be successful. All investing involves risk, including potential loss of principal.
Equity: Equity securities (stocks) are more volatile and carry more risk than other forms of investments, including investments in high-grade fixed income securities. The net asset value per share of this Fund will fluctuate as the value of the securities in the portfolio changes.
Small cap: Small-capitalization funds typically carry additional risks since small companies generally have a higher risk of failure. Their stocks are subject to a greater degree of volatility, trade in lower volume and may be less liquid.
