Papastavros Opens New Radiology Centers in Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del., Jan. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Papastavros' Associates has opened a new diagnostic imaging center in North Wilmington that offers high-strength MRI and digital X-ray, while two Newark centers offer CT, Open MRI and digital X-ray.  Papastavros now provides diagnostic imaging services in eight centers throughout Delaware, plus a number of walk-in X-ray offices.

Papastavros at Brandywine Town Center

The new imaging center in north Wilmington, which opened in late 2010, is called Papastavros at Brandywine Town Center.  Located on the Brandywine Parkway in a major shopping center, this center offers high strength (1.5 Tesla), "short-bore" MRI and digital X-ray.  A short-bore MRI is more spacious and open than traditional MRIs, accommodating larger patients and those who become claustrophobic.

Donna Marie Grace, R.T. New Centers and Technology in Newark Area

In the Newark area, Papastavros Associates opened a new imaging center called Old Churchman's Rd. Located at 1096 Old Churchman's Rd, the center offers Open MRI to accommodate patients who can't tolerate traditional closed MRIs.  

Papastavros also operates a second Open MRI a few miles away at its Polly Drummond Center.  The two Open MRIs complement the high strength MRIs at five other Papastavros radiology centers throughout the state.

Finally, Papastavros added a multi-slice CT unit to complement existing digital X-ray services at its Limestone Center at 1941 Limestone Rd., offering a convenient way to obtain CT exams for suspected medical problems throughout the body.
