Parker White Inducted into International Academy of Trial Lawyers

SACRAMENTO, Calif., July 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Parker White, personal injury attorney and partner in Poswall, White & Cutler, was recently selected for membership in the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (IATL).

The IATL is dedicated to improving the system of law and promoting reforms. It limits its United States' membership to 500 attorneys who have demonstrated skill and ability in jury trials and trials before the court and in appellate practice. Its members represent both plaintiffs and defendants.

White has practiced law in Sacramento since 1980. He became a partner in Friedman, Collard & Poswall in 1987 after managing a series of highly complicated actions against the University of California Davis Medical Center which resulted in a multi-million dollar settlement.

In 1993, White teamed with John Poswall to form Poswall & White. White has been an active visiting faculty member at Stanford University Law School and the University of San Francisco Law School teaching in the schools' Trial Advocacy Programs.

White was elected to the American Board of Trial Lawyers (ABOTA) in 1991 and remains active in the organization's continuing legal education programs. In 2011 White was named the Sacramento Chapter of ABOTA's Trial Lawyer of the Year. In 2003 he was honored by the Sacramento Chapter as the recipient of the Civility Award. White is the only member of the chapter to receive both awards.

While White tries a wide variety of personal injury cases, he has been singled out as the only lawyer in Sacramento to be honored as a Northern California Super Lawyer in the field of plaintiff medical malpractice.
