Pasadena to Host CalTIA's 29th Annual 'California Travel Summit,' June 20-22, 2011

Travel Industry Professionals Encouraged to Save-the-Date for Statewide Conference (formerly 'California Conference on Tourism')

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Dec. 8, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- For the first time ever,  the city of Pasadena, California will serve as the host city for the California Travel Industry Association's (CalTIA) 29th Annual 'California Travel Summit' (formerly the California Conference on Tourism), June 20-22, 2011.

The event, themed "Think, Adapt, Thrive … Keeping it Relevant," is expected to draw over 600 travel, tourism and hospitality professionals and state legislative officials from California and neighboring states.

New features at the 2011 Summit will include 'The CalTIA Legislative Awards', honoring California lawmakers who have supported travel and tourism; expanded learning and education tracks; and new scheduled opportunities for heightened networking. A selection of keynote speakers, including Adam Sacks of Tourism Economics analytical firm, will present during three three-day summit.
