Patriot National Wins Novarica Research Council Impact Awards

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Aug. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Patriot National, Inc., a leading provider of workers' compensation and managed care services, was honored at the Novarica Impact Awards Conference as a recipient of the 2014 Novarica Research Council Impact Award.  Honorees are recognized for best practices in insurance industry IT initiatives and strategy. In particular, Patriot National was recognized for total legacy replacement (transformation) for their implementation of Vikaran Solutions' WorkersCompExpert^TM ("WCE").

In 2013, Patriot National completed a successful implementation of the Vikaran WorkersCompExpert software suite.  Patriot converted all the company's existing workers' compensation business for all 50 states onto the new platform. While data inconsistencies and inadequacies inherent to the old system made the conversion process challenging, Patriot National stringently and successfully managed the process by establishing a dedicated project management office (PMO) which monitored project scope, goals and deliverables.
