Patriot Rail Promotes David C. Eyermann To Vice President Planning And Design, Adds Dennis D. Marzec As Vice President Field Operations

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Dec. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Patriot Rail Corp. ("Patriot"), a leading operator of short line and regional freight railroads, today announced the promotion of David C. Eyermann to the senior post of Vice President Planning and Design, and the addition of Dennis D. Marzec to its senior team as Vice President Field Operations.

Eyermann:  David C. Eyermann, formerly Patriot Vice President Operations, is promoted to Vice President Planning and Design, responsible for Patriot's operational strategy, system design, safety/compliance administration, capital program administration, and car and fleet management.

Before joining Patriot, Eyermann was Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Central Region at Watco where he was responsible for over 1,600 miles of rail territory.  Prior to that, he was Regional Vice President for RailAmerica's Lone Star Region.  He also served a number of senior operating roles at RailTex.  He began his career as an apprentice electrician before transferring into train service working as a conductor, engineer, and various field-based operating management positions.

Marzec:  Dennis D. Marzec joins Patriot as Vice President Field Operations responsible for all field operations, field safety, transportation, mechanical, engineering, and performance improvement.  He brings 35-years of diverse and successful rail operating experience to Patriot.  He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer for Southern California Regional Rail Authority/Metrolink where he was responsible for the safe and efficient movement of over 169-passenger and 100-freight trains each day over the intricate 512-mile network in the Los Angeles basin. 

Marzec started his rail career with the former Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Railway where he progressed through various field-operating roles.  He also served with the Kansas City Southern Railway responsible for major terminal operations including their largest classification yard, as well as local and over-the-road train management.
