Patriot Seating Rolls out The Service Chair for Veterans Day

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio, Nov. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Just in time for Veterans Day, Patriot Seating is introducing its latest product that's assembled entirely by veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.

The Service Chair is the company's ninth addition to its product line since opening in 2005. Unlike its other products, which can only be purchased through the company's distributors, The Service Chair will be available for shipment directly to the customer's home. On Monday, Nov. 11, customers will be able to order the chair via a new website exclusive to The Service Chair: www.TheServiceChair.com. Patriot Seating's president, Ken Altiero, expects the site to be completed by the end of this week.

"We are using social media to market The Service Chair directly to the consumer for the home office," Altiero says. "We just feel like there are a lot of people right now, especially veterans, who are starting their own business out of their homes and they need a high-quality office chair."

The Service Chair is a fully adjustable mesh-back task chair and will be initially available in three upholstery varieties, including black, grey and cranberry. A fourth variety – desert camouflage – is dependent on the availability of that design in the needed material. The ergonomic design makes it adjustable to any user.

Customers should expect three weeks delivery time for each order, Altiero says. The initial price point is expected to be $279 with a few incentives for customers ordering online. Referrals from five individuals will get a customer a 5% discount, and 10% for 10 referral. All customers have the satisfaction of knowing they purchased a product assembled by a U.S. veteran, he adds.

"Everybody has a loved one that's a veteran and this is all about veteran employment," he says. "We want to hire as many vets as we can to build quality chairs for the home office. If this takes off, obviously we'll be able to hire quite a few more veterans."
