Pattie Mallette Joins Women of Faith For Two Additional Cities

DALLAS, Oct. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- This past weekend, Women of Faith invited Pattie Mallette, mother of pop singer-songwriter Justin Bieber, to make a surprise guest appearance at the Celebrate What Matters tour in Orlando, FL. Receiving an overwhelming and warm welcome from the Women of Faith audience, Mallette has agreed to join the tour in St. Paul and Ft. Lauderdale on October 20^th and October 26^th respectively.

As a young woman and a single mom, Mallette fought hard to rise above her painful past of shame, abuse, and poverty. In Orlando, she shared with the women in attendance the challenges she faced and how God found her and changed her.

Sandi Patty interviewed Mallette about her life and story in Orlando. In addition to her participation in two more Women of Faith events, Mallette recently released a memoir titled Nowhere But Up. In collaboration with author A.J. Gregory, Mallette shares heartbreaking details about the trauma, abuse and addiction that marked her early childhood and adult years. Mallette reflects on a desperate search for love and acceptance that led to teenage rebellion and a suicide attempt at seventeen. Through it all, she reveals the remarkable way that her life finally turned around when she found herself pregnant with Justin and facing an uncertain future as a single mom.
