"The addition of the new executive position of Vice President-Corporate Development Officer is part of our Strategic Growth Initiative to seek potential opportunities to grow the company through selective acquisitions and technology investments," stated Steve Powless, Chief Executive Officer. "The addition of Paul Koziarz as our new CDO will strengthen our executive management team while focusing on acquisition opportunities that are intended to accelerate CSI's future growth potential.
"Paul joins CSI with significant experience in the financial services industry. He has served as President of a company focused on financial management and decision support systems, and as a consultant, in which he has provided guidance to CSI for a number of years. As CDO, Paul will work directly with me to establish strategy, identify opportunities, and help manage those opportunities once we have acquired them.
"CSI has a successful track record of acquisitions that has been key to expanding its products, services and support in communications; regulatory and compliance; document imaging; print, mail and electronic distribution; and in-house banking platforms. One of our challenges is to look for opportunities to acquire excellent companies with strong management already in place. Acquiring well-run companies has been a key part of CSI's growth over the past 10 years. We remain very active in seeking new acquisition targets and look forward to Paul's leadership in building CSI's pipeline of acquisition candidates. We believe that will allow us to further leverage our existing businesses and add complementary products and services," concluded Powless.
Koziarz has spent more than 25 years in the financial services industry. He was President of Financial Technology, Inc. (FTI), a Chicago-based company that provided financial management and decision support systems to more than 2,000 banks worldwide. Paul was also a Vice President with HNC Software in San Diego, focused on growing the Community Bank business segment for its profitability and analytics solutions. Most recently, he has been consulting with clients on business development and process improvement within the financial industry. Koziarz has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and an MBA degree, both from Southern Illinois University.
