Paulson Institute to Co-Host Cities of the Future Event in Beijing

CHICAGO, Nov. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Paulson Institute, ClimateWorks, China Center for International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE), China City Development Academy, and the China Association of Mayors today announced they will host "Cities of the Future: Urban Sustainability in Modern China," on December 5, 2011 in Beijing.

The conference will establish an annual practical seminar on urban sustainability to support China's efforts for social harmonization. The event will bring together leading thinkers and practitioners who develop all aspects of "Cities of the Future," including innovators, policy makers, practitioners, private equity companies, architects, urban planners and scientists.

Paulson formed the Paulson Institute, an independent center located at the University of Chicago, this past summer. It is dedicated to fostering international engagement to address issues of global scope, with particular emphasis on sharing best practices between the United States and China.  

The Paulson Institute and CCIEE are each inviting panelists to participate in the conference.  Those confirmed to participate on behalf of the Paulson Institute include:
