PayMeOn Pioneers Social Income and Brings Real and Meaningful Cash Payments to the Coupon Business
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., May 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- MMAX Media, Inc. (OTCBB andOTCQB: MMAX), announced today that it has filed for protection of its trademark, Social Income™, on behalf of its PayMeOn™ business with the USPTO on May 2, 2011.
The PayMeOn business pays consumers meaningful amounts of real money (not "in-kind" credits or "bucks") for successful referrals of deals offered in cities across the United States.
The PayMeOn concept is very simple. Consumers sign up at www.paymeon.com and can view deals in cities across the United States. Consumers are presented with local deals that offer significant savings for products and services at local establishments. Every deal also highlights a "payout" amount. The payout amount represents the amount of cash that consumers receive, immediately, every time somebody they refer purchases a deal. Consumers are paid, at their option, via paypal or check. Consumers can manage their deal purchases and referrals through the PayMeOn website or the PayMeOn mobile application for iPhones (droid application available soon).
According to CEO, Ed Cespedes, "the deals business can be very profitable and we saw that the only benefit consumers were receiving from sharing deals was the ability to purchase the deals themselves. Occasionally, consumers were also being rewarded with 'credits' towards more deal purchases. We decided to share a meaningful amount of the money with consumers for all the work they are doing sharing these deals by 'cutting them in' on our share of the deals." PayMeOn makes it very easy for consumers to share deals with all of their social networks (facebook, twitter, email, text). Mr. Cespedes continued, "we also felt that consumers would much rather receive cash than credits."
Since the amount of money paid to consumers for successful referrals is meaningful, PayMeOn pioneered the term "Social Income". Consumers make their regular income every day and now can earn "Social Income" too. According to Ed Cespedes, "we want consumers to feel like they are making real money by sharing our deals. Effective use of PayMeOn can result in hundreds or even thousands of dollars of earnings per year."
