ATLANTA, March 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- According to the International Franchise Association, the benefits of restaurant franchises are numerous, including a track record of success, ease of financing and overall corporate support.  Armed with a unique menu and seasoned executive chefs, P.D.H. recently announced its plans to franchise, sharing its proven success model with entrepreneurs and franchise operators in the Tampa area.

Founded in Atlanta by partners Costanzo Astarita, Mario Maccarrone and Eddie Johnson, P.D.H. has created an experience and menu for customers that balances the flavors and originality of a fine dining restaurant with the expectations of a gastropub environment, serving up duck quesadilla and venison sliders, along with traditional fare, such as the P.D.H. house burger and Korean-style chicken wings.

"It's an exciting time to join the P.D.H. family," explains Eddie Johnson, co-founder and COO.  "We have been fruitful over the last several years in Atlanta due to our carefully crafted menu and customer experience, serving up locally-sourced gastropub fare in all three dayparts.  We look forward to expanding our restaurant through franchising into additional cities in 2013."

Growth in the Tampa Market

P.D.H. sees Tampa as one of a number of strategic growth markets for franchise development and is seeking prospective franchisees with full-service restaurant experience or business expertise. P.D.H. provides support through a dedicated corporate team made up of executive chefs, a training team and operations and marketing personnel. Focus on the Tampa area is important to P.D.H. because of the favorable demographics and readiness for a gastropub concept in the market.

With a $35,000 franchise fee, and an estimated investment of $400,000 depending on location, the restaurant concept fits comfortably into the full-service franchise segment, and it offers support for the franchisee from real estate selection to restaurant build-out, training, marketing and grand opening services.

Meet the Founders

For interested franchisees, P.D.H. will be attending the Franchise and Business Opportunities Expo on April 6 – 7, 2013 at the Tampa Convention Center.  Johnson and the rest of the P.D.H. team will be available to provide details regarding owning a P.D.H., as well as information on its franchising model.
