Peacemaker National Training Center - Home of the Most Accurate Rifle Shooters in the World

GLENGARY, W.Va., April 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- On April 7th 2011 the Peacemaker National Training Center (PNTC) signed an agreement with the Virginia 1000 yard benchrest club to host their shooting competitions moving forward. The Virginia 1000 yard benchrest club is a member of the "International Benchrest Shooters" organization which leads the world in rifle shooting accuracy. At the present time the present IBS world record for a 5 shot group at 1000 yards is an amazing 1.397 inches.

The Virginia 1000 yard benchrest club has been in need of a world class 1000 yard rifle range near the Washington DC area and according to VA 1000 Club Jeff Green – "PNTC's understanding of our needs, their location, and facilities present a great opportunity for our club to host our matches at a fine new facility and grow our sport."

Opening in the Summer of 2011 the Peacemaker National Training Center is an official NRA affiliated public and private club and will be a common spot for regional and national shooting events. The ranges are planned to include a 1000 yard rifle range, 18 tactical shooting ranges and several shotgun ranges including Sporting Clays, Trap, Skeet & 5 Stand.
