Peerless Shrinks Ultra Slim Flat Wall Mount to .19" - World's Thinnest

ORLANDO, Fla., June 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The world's slimmest mounts for ultra-thin flat panel displays just got 42% thinner with Peerless-AV's new Universal Ultra Slim Flat Wall Mounts. Extending just .19" (5mm) from the wall – one-third the width of a dime – the new Ultra Slim mounts for ultra-thin flat panel displays up to 65" are two to four times thinner than competitive solutions. The result is near-invisible installation that makes the super-sleek displays appear to float on the wall.

Nearly Flush to the Wall

The Universal Ultra Slim Flat Wall Mount's leaner-than-ever patent-pending design was achieved by re-engineering the mount to eliminate vertical brackets and instead allow flat panels to hook directly onto the wall plate with two screws that fit into the display's built-in screw holes. The new design shaved .14" off the first-generation Ultra Slim flat mount, delivering an even tighter screen-to-wall fit than before and concealing the mount almost entirely.

New Locking Arm, Easy Installation  

The new Universal Ultra Slim Flat Wall Mount series also features an industry-first locking arm that prevents displays from being dislocated when bumped. An optional security screw provides additional protection in commercial settings.

Mount installation is an easy three-step process involving fastening the mount to wood studs or concrete, attaching the display, and sliding the locking arm onto one side of the wall plate. Unlike some other ultra thin flat wall mounts, the Peerless-AV version achieves its .19" depth without requiring the drywall to be cut. All necessary display attachment hardware is included in a fastener pack that ships with the mount.

Three Models, Complementary Products

Peerless-AV's new Universal Ultra Slim Flat Wall Mounts are available for 23" to 46" (SUF641P), 32" to 56" (SUF651P), and 37" to 65" (SUF661P) VESA®-compliant ultra-thin flat panel displays. Unlike standard interconnects that can protrude up to 2", the Slimline 24 karat gold right angle interconnect extends a mere .55" (14mm) from the panel - well within the mount's .19'' requirement.
