Pennsylvania Governor Corbett Signs Senate, House Bills into Law
HARRISBURG, Pa., May 30, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tom Corbett signed the following bills on May 29:
Senate Bill 817 (P.N. 1830) – This legislation amends section 6336.2 of Title 42, 42 Pa.C.S. (Judicial Code) pertaining to the use of restraints on children during court proceedings. It require restraints used on children to be removed prior to the start of a court proceeding. It also provides for conditions under which restraints may be used during such proceedings.
Senate Bill 1395 (P.N. 1925) – This bill designates the highway that consists of State Routes 3035 and 3033 in Robesonia Borough, Heidelberg Township, North Heidelberg Township and Penn Township, Berks County, from U.S. Route 422, in Robesonia Borough, to Pennsylvania Route 183, in Penn Township, as the Capt. David Eric Pannabecker POW-MIA Memorial Highway.
Senate Bill 1429 (P.N. 1968) – This bill designates the bridge carrying State Route 114 over Interstate 81 in Silver Spring Township, Cumberland County, as the Cpl. Paul Walters Memorial Bridge.
House Bill 1091 (P.N. 1188) – This legislation will designate a portion of State Route 955 from East Lake Road to Nagle Road in Lawrence Park Township, Erie County, as the Michael D. Crotty Memorial Parkway.
House Bill 1400 (P.N. 3479) – This bill establishes the "Primary Stroke Center Recognition Act" and makes specific requirements of the Department of Health.
House Bill 1825 (P.N. 3494) – This legislation allows the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources as well as the Department of General Services to grant and convey various lands throughout the state.
