Peraso Demonstrates World's First WiGig USB Dongle at Computex 2016

Interoperability with WiGig AP Essential for Industry Ecosystem

TORONTO, May 31, 2016  /PRNewswire/ - Peraso Technologies Inc., a leader in Wireless Gigabit (WiGig®) chipsets, announced today the company will be demonstrating interoperability between its USB dongle reference design and a WiGig wireless AP.  As several AP suppliers had announced products at CES 2016 (TP-Link, NetGear, Elecom), it's critical for the WiGig ecosystem that consumers be able to enable legacy equipment into the WiGig ecosystem.

Peraso is in production with WiGig® IC solutions, addressing both next generation WiFi opportunities in the consumer electronics (CE) space, as well as outdoor devices in the 60 GHz wireless infrastructure space.

Market research firm ABI Research Inc. estimates that by 2018, over 600M WiGig chips will be sold annually*. Product categories include access points, portable PCs, tablets, smartphones and networking adaptors.
